Derbyshire Beef Meat Box

3 Boxes left available on our Shorthorn heifer which we aim to take in at the end of this week. They'll be ready between the 22nd and 30th May (usually a Friday or Saturday)

We raise traditional British breed (hereford, belted galloway and shorthorn) beef cattle. These are grass fed outside for as long as possible in Spring, Summer and Autumn, and spend the Winter months inside with silage, meadow hay and some corn.

The beef will be hung for 28 days to really bring out the lovely beef flavours and maximise tenderness.

Our 10kg Derbyshire Beef Meat box includes:

1.5-2kg x Best Steak (approx. 4 per kg, TBone, Porterhouse, Sirlion, Fillet - put request in comment on your order)
1.5-2kg x Other steak (rump, flank, braising)
Total steak will be approx 3kg.
1 or 2 of 1-2kg x Good Roasting Joints (topside etc - put preferred size in comment)
Selection of other cuts to bring it to 10kg (approx. 5kg of these cuts in total)
Roasting joints, stewing beef (2-3kg) 
Minced beef (usually 2-3kg).

Offal and bones:
If you like we can include (no extra cost) 1-2kg of liver, kidney, heart or bones. (Put request in comment on your order)

All the above weights are a rough guide - total weight will be minimum 10kg excluding bones and offal.

The price is £170 (£17/kg). 

Beef cattle are large animals. As we are starting out, we need to get orders placed of at least 120kg before we can take the animal in. Depending on the animal's weight we sell 12-15 boxes each. We also hang for 28 days to ensure tenderness and best flavour. As such the options are to either pay in full upfront or to place a deposit of £60 to secure your box from our next beefie. An order will only be considered placed after the deposit or complete payment is made. All deposits will be forfiet if the order is cancelled.
